Quick, easy, & delicious.
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. oil (I used canola)
2/3 c. milk
Lightly mix all ingredients.
Bake at 400* for about 12-15 minutes.
Makes approx. 5-6 3-4" biscuits.
-Mix the dry ingredients, then add the wet. (To avoid clumps.)
-Be careful not to over mix the ingredients or your biscuits will turn into concrete.
-This is what they look like when they're done! Still pale but edges getting a little golden brown.
-They're marvelous for biscuits & gravy but most nostalgic for me with some butter and local honey.
This is my grandmother's biscuit recipe, from the inside of her kitchen cabinet. It's a super easy last minute morning recipe that can be whipped up in less than thirty minutes and will make your kitchen smell like grandma's. (I call mine Uma- what do you call yours?)
Also, I hate endless blogs that you have to scroll through to get to the recipes. I promise to always put them at the top of the page. #priorities
What I probably look like waiting for them to bake.
